Question: Home schooled and really depressed and really need help.?
I’m going to be 15 this july and I’m a girl.
All my life i’ve been home schooled and I’m extremely lonely, I haven’t had friend since I was 8.
my mom says I don’t need friends, and that most people, my age are bad influences.
when I was 12 she beat me, till I had red marks, that lasted for about a two weeks, also when I was 12 I got a really bad hair cut, and my dad said to not be seen with him, unless I wore a hat.
I have two brothers,The one that lived with us my mom used to baby anything he asked for he got,he had friends and mom wnt out of her way to get him friends, he never got in trouble and would blame stuff on me and laugh Any time I got in trouble, he has been moved out for about 3 years he is married, and has a son. but even tho mom did all that for him he treats her like S*it! he ignores her never comes by never call we can say hi and he ignores her and me. the other brother just mover to town a year ago, he lived with his mom. (my dads ex wife)
I found this free german learn website (that I really like) and she said that I’m not smart enough to learn a new language. she is a christian and asks me all the time what I pray and if I pray about, my mom only listens to christian music and HATES heavy metal, I love heavy Metal if she found out I listen to heavy metal she would get very angry! But for me heavy metal kinda makes me feel better,
I don’t believe in god because I was even more depressed when I did. my dad tells me I’m worthless at least once a week. Being home schooled is awful! some times It will be a week before I go out side, one time she even got mad because I read the book “Alice in wounder land” and some times It will be 5 hours before she comes out if her room, I can tell she doesn’t want me around.
The only thing about home schooling is that when I do get out its out of the country. like me and my dad are leaving for germany next month, but that’s the only good thing. and I know when we get back I’m going to ger really depressed Again.
I’m lonely depressed and sad!
I know it was long but what would you do if you where me?

she told me today I had a horrible personality hates the way I dress and I do a crappy jo on my makeup.
shes even starting to piss me dad off he said that he might divorce her when we get back from Germany.
The thing about the music is that it helps my relieve stress and makes my feel better.

Do what you love and do what makes you happy.
I have been abused, my family hates everything I live for, but it makes me happy.
If it means keeping it a secret then do so.
Go online and meet new people just don’t give them your information so they cant creep on you and rape you. Learn a new language and when you go to germany make friends that you can keep in contact with.

Also I’ve tried talking to her about these things and she walks out of the room and she gets mad any time I bring up making friends.

Question: things to put in my room?
Im 15 years old and i love old fashioned things and i’m looking to get some more stuff for my room…my walls are like a beige/light brown color and i have a white bed with red blankets and get chair and some black things (so bassically my room is red, white, and black) i have a record player with some vinyl like beatles and pink floyd and more modern bands like paramore and bon iver (paramore is my favorite band) i have 3 framed posters of them on my wall and 1 of 30 seconds to mars and 1 twilight poster. and ALOT of CD’s and movies (all indie, romance, and drama movies) i also have my guitar in my room (music is my life) i play guitar, piano and drums….anyway im looking for some things to put in my room but cant really think of any old fashioned things. I was thinking of putting a small black picture frame somewhere on my wall with the last words of the giver (my favorite book) “Behind him, across vast distances of space and time, from the place he had left, he thought he heard music too. But perhaps it was only an echo.” so is there any ideas you have and tell me if that is a good idea to put those words on my wall
EDIT!! I have been reading some of the answers but just to add i LOVE rock n roll and things that have to do with music…And i HATE things like flowers and hearts and girly things like that…i do like girly stuff but im more of a rocker chick

Wow, that’s such a beautiful quote & a good book! they sell letter stickers that you could use to put the quote on the wall. Also things like old lamps, decorative pillows, vintages drapes/curtains for the window, rugs, etc, would be cute and easy things to add. go shopping at thrift stores and antique shops and see what you can find! good luck

Police officer Sam Woods, has taken in a “Negro” he has found near Wells waiting for a train, the “negro” was questioned for any suspicion. More information was found of “Virgil Tibbs”. He was found innocent. The black man Virgil Tibbs is a homicide investigator in California, chief Gillespie asked if he ever has looked at dead bodies, and the Negro replied “oftener than I like”. The case of the murder of Mantoli is now being worked on by a Negro.
Sam Woods and Virgil Tibbs, has informed the family of Mantoli. The daughter of Mantoli, “Duena Mantoli”, was questioned about her father’s death, Sam Wood speaked in a sympathy voice, “Were there any unsuccessful candidates for the position your father held who might have been… greatly upset by his success?” He asked. “None at all” Mantoli replied. “I mean really none at all. The festival here was his idea and there was never anyone else…”

The question is do you find yourself reading a book but drifting off into thoughts about other things and imaginings, and just over all not being able to pay attention for a long time to books?
I have this problem, I am trying to read the last of this book “black boy” by Richard Right and it’s so boring but even with interesting stories I find myself reading the book but not reading it because I’m thinking about other things, like I can be reading the words and thinking about something else while listening to classical music(hard to listen to music and read with words in the songs). Question: I think i’ve been encountered by a ghost?!?
I started reading the book “Ghosts Among Us” because my sister and I have really been getting into ghosts and stuff. I straighten my hair in the mornings and tuck the cord under my vanity before i go to school. I came home and went to bed and when I woke up, my cord was stretched all the way across my room. A few nights later I went to bed at 10 and I couldn’t fall asleep. At about 11:30 I started to drift away into sleep when my teddy bear started playing its music….This is a ceramic teddy bear with the music player inside so it weighs about 2-4 pounds, It takes effort to move. (this is also on my dresser far away from my bed) It started playing so I jumped out of bed and turned on my light and it was still playing!! I ran into my parents room crying because I was so scared and my mom jumped out of bed because we could still hear it. As soon as my mom entered through my doorway it stopped…..what the hell is going on!?!?!?
You have to pick it up and wind it up at the bottom! You have to wind it a few times to get it to play that long too, that’s why I was so scared. My dad said it could be change in temperature that caused the spring to move and play, but if it was that then it only would have played one note!!! And nothing else really has happened.
I know I’m not supposed to be scared and right now I’m not scared at all. I want it to happen now, but when its night time and I’m alone and it really does happen then I just get so frightened but I don’t want to be but I cant stop myself. That’s weird though, why would it like to play with my things? and I don’t feel that my dads explanation was correct, I think there is something there. Which I’m ok with as long as its not purposely trying to scare me. I don’t usually see shadows, I have once but sometimes my room does get randomly cold.

That’s creepy! Ok, so here are my thoughts…
1.) you have been really getting into ghost stuff, and you are really into it and have seen a lot of shows, websites, et cetera about it. Subconsciously, your mind is now imagining paranormal activity because of reading so much about it, and it is though your mind wants in a way to encounter some paranormal activity therefore these incidents that have logical explanations, are taken as paranormal. Following? Your mind could possibly be imagining this stuff. However…..
2.) the Teddy bear thing is quite unusual. My question to you is how do you manually turn it on? Is there a button? It seems like like a ghost may have taken part in this. But I need to know how the Teddy bear music usually turns on to think of an explanation. Can you let me know? Also, let me know I’d there has been any more incidents. Thanks!!

Tone down the sensationalism a bit..
Question: What should I get my guy friend for his birthday?
How about lashes? Getting a towel and smacking him on his butt with it for all the stress he has given me and for the times he has done it to me.
I am thinking about getting him the book, “The boy who came back from heaven.” I believe that he would enjoy reading the book and it may help him to become a devoted Christian, which he wants to be. We often discuss Biblical events and verses which he tests me on. If he sees that I didn’t read my bible in awhile he’ll say, “You know you should be reading your bible more often or you should know this.” So he is committed to knowing God’s word.
I also want to get him something else, but I am not sure what. I’ve never got a guy a gift for his bday. He does martial arts; is a navy veteran; loves Christian and 80′s music; likes to watch anime; and other guy stuff. He doesn’t party, go to clubs, drinks, or smokes.
So any ideas?

UHH I have an idea! Get him the book “The power of now” it’s a bestseller and is about spirituality…guides u on how to enlighten…if he is reli into religion then he’d prolly like this book ^^ i know coz i LOVE it! It is reli worth it
