Question: How do you tell your parents that ur in love, and wanna get married??? (im 15 but i wont get married til 16!)?
ok me and my boyfriend are madly in love. he is 15 going to be 16 and i am too. i know what u r thinking. we are crazy.and too young. BUT we really are committed. and we REALLY REALLY REALLY want this to happen……the thing is my parents! his parents are cool and dont care if we get married but my parents are so ….BLEH…. and strict….

ok let me explain. i am 15 alrihgt. well i am very “locked in the closet”.

here are all my rules:

be in bed by 10,

my phone off by 9,

not allowed to go to my friends except one,

only allowed to listen to certian music,

not allowed on facebook, myspace, etc.

forced to go church

not allowed to say the word(S): freak, sucks, crap, dang, lesbo, gay, dern, etc

cant do anything without asking first

not allowed to walk up and down OUR OWN PERSONAL DRIVE WAY!!

if i am allowed to have my bf over, we have to be with my parents at all times. no kissing, etc.

NO going to boys houses or on dates

my clothes must be apporved before i wear them

no options on what i HAVE to eat…i dont care for meat but FORCED to eat

So please tell me how to convince my overly strict parents that i need some space and that i am ready and commited to being married this young in life!! i mean when i told them once b4 my mom shook her head, and my dad laughed at me saying that i was young and arrogant. and that he is not a boyfriend..that he is just a kid i text and say meaningless words to such as i love you. and that i need to put “the stupid little boys aside and pick up some books” even during the summer time. (I keep an A+ B- average in school) and i mean he just acts like he cares nothing about how i feel about someone. it upsets me to the point that i cry. and i know i am young but i am defenitley committed and responible enough to take on this. i feel that i am ready and can handle being ,married…………………So what should i do????Would it be wrong to get it done behind their backs and then tell them??? I mean my parents did it………help me pplease!!!!!!!!!!!
please be honest…..i really need to know what to do!

You should let your boyfriend help you. You should both think this through and, if you think you are ready and prepared for independent life at that young age, you should be strong enough to face your parents.

If they don’t approve of your plan/want/need, then do wait. we all should. Don’t be impatient and do anything stupid. After all, true love waits, right?
